°°•●◦ Ëşşаy #4 I am §oŗŗy l ĥávë leŧ yøu down ◦•●°°

The little kid that I left behind was the little boy I left in the past. He was the little one I let down. The little kid was me. Days before today I had a long conversation with me as an eight year old. It was not exactly a physical interaction of course, but it was mental. I felt sorry and ashamed for this kid, who smiling stares at to me. His eyes gave the appearance of anger for abandoned his dreams. His thoughts were to become a professional baseball player or a recognized lawyer or a powerful person in his hometown. But these ideas disappeared day by day and then year by year. I could not even notice how the course of the time was absorbing my hopes and wishes to become an important person.
Giving a carefully scrutiny to my old pictures when I was a kid, I found one where I was with my father. I was wearing a blue sport shirt and a white jersey over it. The picture was taken during a baseball tournament held in my city. I was happy; my big smile says it all. The smile on my face implied to me a sarcastic look. I could not keep my eyes on his. The image of the boy brought me to the times were I was in high spirits, the time when everything gave the appearance of being easy. I could not appreciate frustration, pain or desperation, instead of it, this boy in the picture asked me why I let his dreams drain away. He wanted continue playing baseball as always, he wanted to stay close to home and do not abandoned the town and friends or family. The little kid dreamed of the day when he could be part of the professional league of baseball. Now, I can hear through the picture his voice saying, why did you let me in the past and do not bring me to the present? Why are you a drag?
It is really incredible that an object like an apparently a simple picture can transmit message from our childhood. These pictures’ function is to keep us in line. Those are little remainders to all of us who have left their dreams in the past. Curiously, this picture suddenly brought me to the times when following my uncle career I dreamed to became a lawyer. I was convinced that if my dream of becoming a baseball player failed, I would be a public prosecutor. What a drag, apparently, the little boy constantly repeats through the picture. I cannot do anything now, just listen to the voices from my past and look to see where my mistake was or in what moment I permitted the circumstances that stole my self-determination.
I keep a constant battle in my mind. The memories that images from my past transferred are strong enough to create, in my head, an atmosphere of concern and frustration. The picture I held days ago remind of me the time when I promised my parents that I would never move far way from them, nevertheless I left my country. I miss the time I used to play with my friends, the time I spent running thought the forest. The little boy remained me of the era which I spent raising hens and lambs. He reminded me of the time when my mother conversed with me. I still remember the long and dark nights. Those are unforgettable and I believe that those will be with me until my last breath.
Sorry little boy for dragging your dreams down. Sorry for forgetting the promises that I made you when you were an infant. There is not changed to go back to the past and rescue you, but I want to finish by saying that I cannot do anything about the past. I want to keeping with the idea that I can deal with the present and work hard to prepare you and enhance our future.

There are many factors that influence our formation as we grow up and become adults. A great part of those factors are people, principally, parents, siblings, relatives and close friends. Between these people there is always one that definitely plays the most important role in our life. The influence of anyone in our development is of vital importance because it will be the base of our future, and as a consequence it will constitute the path of our vocation. In my personal situation, the most influent individual in my life is my mother. She taught me the most important values that as human we have, she encourage me to finished it my education, and she inspire me to continue growing as human being.
The values that my mother taught me have been the basis for my good association with the exterior world. Firstly, she taught me the respect for others and to take care for the neediest. She always implied to me that I should give without expecting anything in return, and that is what I usually do. I rarely request any recompense for favors. The value of money does not matter when love and human sense is behind the action. During my childhood I could see many children who lacked the basic necessities, so I used to give them as much clothes, food as I could. At that time I though that I was the poorest person in the world, but then I remember once I was working in farm and a person approached me asking for food. I had more than enough and without thinking I gave it him. I could appreciate that the fortune we are the ones we have at least enough to eat. I also remember I went to visit to my cousin and I noticed he did not have any food to eat at his house because his parents were separating and as a consequence, they lacked the basic necessities. As soon as I got home I told my mother that terrible situation and she packed a little meal of pasta, beans, rice, and gave it to me to take to my relatives. These examples have taught me the value of the humanity. If this norm were applied to the society, the connivance with the rest would be fantastic because the world would be more sensitive and reasonable.
The importance of human values was the first thing I learned from my mother. The other thing she taught me was to believe in freedom, to believe that all people are equal, and we were made with the same capacities. She encouraged me to follow my dreams. Every time she spoke to me she did with love and courage. She always tried to give the necessaries strengths to confront the adversities. One of her dream was to become a professional, but she could not. Her parents were too poor to give her the education she wanted. Her lacks of opportunities created in her mind an idea of frustration. Then, she got married and it finished her dream to become a specialist. The benefit of this was that all her wishes and dreams she could not accomplish became hopes that in the end were transmitted to me. She motivated me to attend the elementary school; she helped me to achieve my assignments. She was the one who encouraged me to get into high school and then into the university. She was part of my triumphs that were many during my preparation. Even now she still influencing in my instruction and her advice continues to stick in my head. All I do, I do for me, but also for her. I dream of the day I graduate from college and give her the satisfaction of being and specialized individual. That would be the only way I could repay the great values and wisdoms advice she transmitted me.
I feel grateful for the all principles and advice that my mother handed to me. All of them have helped me to move through difficult circumstances in my life. I had to leave my house before I was 18 years old. I have been separated from my family for 10 years but it has not been a motive to forget the words of my mother. For this reason she is still be the person who inspired me to wake up every day and try to be better human being. She has been the most admirable person I have ever known. My mother and my father for reasons I do not know got separated when I was seven years old. Since then my mother has been my father and mother. She had to take care of me and my three brothers and five sisters. There are nine members in the family. She gave us the best of her life; she gave us protection. I feel very proud of her because even she could not be capable to complete her dreams; she is the person who motivated me to never give up even the challenged the life implies.
In conclusion, the way I am depends direct and indirectly on the advice my mother taught me during my childhood, the manners that are belong to me are part of a great person who knew guide thought the best way. For me no super hero can compare with the great woman that is my mother. She is the one I admired for her brave spirit to fight. Definitely, the most important and influent person in my personality is my mother.

What is a personality? What are the factors that determine our personalities? There are two elemental aspects that influence our behavior direct or indirect, naturals and socials. Naturals, those are handed down by our parents: eyes, hair color and other physical aspects. The other aspect that is important for our formation is social. It is well know that those social aspects are the most influential in our identity as individuals. It is important to understand that our behavior mostly depends on our environment, our friends, and our surroundings. Music is an important social piece that definitely contributes to our conduct. It is results are easy to demonstrate because as examples can tell about me and how music has contributed to the way I am in three different ways. It has influenced in my ideas, the selected group of friends and lastly, the way I like to dress.
During my first years I listened the traditional music from my nature Mexico (boleros, nortena, banda, balada), but as I mature my preferences changed. I changed from romantic to rock music. Those two genres are completely different. The rock genre has the characteristic of using guitar and instruments that produce loud sounds, maybe even noisy. But this genre uses especial lyrics that combined with the electrical guitars, drums and others instruments made it one of the most energetic genres and preferred for many. Most rock lyrics are strong and sensitive. These two characteristics make the rock music a symbol of rebellion. It was this aspect that I liked from the rock music. It changes my ideals. Anytime, if for any reason I felt down, I listened to songs such as “My Way” by Limp Bizkit or “Smells Like Teen Spirit” Because Nirvana and my grievances faded. This music makes me feel powerful and alive. Since I started listened this kind of music I feel free to express what I really want. The lyrics on the rock songs mostly express real emotions that regularly are true and sincere and it make it a easy genre adopted by people who sees them self identified with the songs. If I could write a song, it should be in this genre.
It is true that music has changed my ideas in the way I express but it also has influenced to find or identify my circle of friends. It is almost certain that any person who likes rock could be recognized by the way he talks. I have two brothers but they do not like rock, instead they still prefer traditional music from my country (Regional Mexicana, usually romantic). It has been a constant dispute when we decided to play music at home because they strongly dislike rock music. It is something different when I join with my friends. Most of them love alternative music such as “By the way” by Red Hot Chili Pepper or “Por el resto” by Enanitos Verdes, logically, we really enjoyed those days we have party. My friends and I have gone to many rock concerts and all the time we have enjoyed as the first one. On weekends, we usually join in someone’s house and order food and listen rock and roll. I respect the preferences of anybody, but I feel more open talking with people who like the same kind of music as I do, rock.
Since I inclined my preferences for alternative music, I revolutionized my thoughts, I defined my friends, and as result I changed my style of dress too. I really like the designs on my shirts, especially, if those are guitars or rebels figures. I like to wear necklaces and bracelets. My clothes are mostly kind of vintage and black. I like to wear boots and sometimes converse shoes made with canvas material. The t-shirts I usually wear are full of designs almost faded. I have some t-shirts with skull figures that are considerate like symbol of rock music. This inclination for this staff it is something that make feel relax and free.
In conclusion, the tendency that people have for something is a consequence one of the two factors, congenial or environment. The socials factors such as music definitely influence in our comportment and the way we developed. There are many music genres for all kind of preferences. I really love the great vary of music styles because it makes music one of the most influential factor in our behavior.
